Community Based Training
Training needed to participate in the community as independently as possible
I have been assisting teenagers and young adults with transition planning and training for twenty-five years. This includes social skills training, community instruction, navigating community resource, using transportation, and personal finance training. I can work with your loved one in the community and/or at home to prepare them to be an active, responsible member of their community.
Supported Employment
Pre-employment training for individuals in transition into adulthood.
I have been assisting teenagers and young adults with transition planning and training for twenty-five years. I can work with your loved one in the community and/or at home to prepare them for post-secondary training, and employment.
Grant Writing
Write grants for equipment and modifications needed for independent living
Depending on the disability, there are some grant options available to assist with home modifications, transportation, caregiving, etc. The application process for these grants can be cumbersome and very specific on wording and requirements. I have experience with writing several different types of grants. I can assist you in finding and writing grants that can assist you or your loved one.
